With 2020 firmly behind us Reel Deal Charters are moving forward this year with a second boat, new skipper and winter fishing from Ilfracombe.

New Boat

We took the decision to add a second boat to the fleet due to high demand over the last few years. Predator II is the latest addition to the fleet. The Evolution 38 has proved a popular platform with skippers and anglers alike, with a good cruising speed and excellent seakeeping qualities she will prove a worthy addition to the Reel Deal stable. Predator II is powered by a Cummins CTA 8.3 litre diesel engine producing 430 hp and is equipped with all the latest marine electronics, a deck accessible WC and cooking facilities. Predator II is fully Licensed and insured to carry up to 12 persons + crew

New Skipper

Many of you will know Archie - Reel Deals long term crew member, Archie has been with us for several years now and has been very popular with our customers. He has worked extremely hard to gain the experience to be able to run a charter boat on his own. Over the last 12 months he has gained all his sea-going qualifications. We are super proud of Archie who has worked incredibly hard to 'learn the trade' and we’re confident he'll make a great skipper and ambassador for the Real Deal brand.

We will be targeting the Porgies and Blues along side all the usual Lundy trips, tope & bass fishing and all the other species which this part of the world has to offer. Winter Fishing From Ilfracombe

Another demand we’ve had from our customers is for year round fishing from Ilfracombe, Predator II will operate throughout the winter to target the fantastic spurdog action the western end of the Bristol Channel has to offer - probably some of the best in the country. The colder months also see some superb conger and huss fishing along with some great offshore pollocking when the weather allows.

As per usual Reel Deal III will spend the winter season in Watchet targeting cod and whiting. Watchet Marina has recently been taken over by a new owner who has pledged to dredge the Marina and improve facilities which will be a big bonus for us and you the customer.
